We understand that sometimes things come up that make it no longer possible for your child to attend class with us. But we ask that you also understand that late cancellations mean we are unlikely to be able to fill the space in the class, but have already made arrangements for staff and materials. *This is a NEW policy, going into effect November 18, 2025* You have two options for cancellation: 1. Receive a Credit (Amount paid - a 10% cancellation fee) up to 48 hours prior to the start of class. 2. Receive a Refund (Amount paid - a 10% cancellation fee) up to 4 weeks prior to the start of class. You are also always welcome to sell your spot to someone else, we just ask that you let us know in advance who will be taking your spot. No credits or refunds will be given after a class starts. No refunds will be given less than 4 weeks prior to the start of class. No credits will be given less than 48 hours prior to the start of class. Credit with us does not expire and will be automatically applied to your next registration with us. Credit Is valid for any future child or adult class, workshop, or camp. Please note that we only offer full (100%) refunds for a class if WE cancel the class. We are also unable to offer refunds or credits for days or classes missed for any reason. If your child misses more than 2 days of classes due to illness, however, please reach out so that we can put together a take home kit of art materials for the classes your child has missed.

We cannot offer makeup classes at this time, as each after school class is different and working on different projects for multiple sessions at a time. We are also not able to offer refunds for missed classes. Your child's teacher will do all they can to make sure your child is caught up when they return to class. If your child misses more than 2 days of classes due to illness, however, please reach out so that we can put together a take home kit of art materials for the classes your child has missed.

We will! Currently, we are able to offer pickup from PS10 everyday, PS107, and PS39 and PS321 on select days. If your child's school is not listed, or is not listed for the day you're interested in, please send us an email and we'll do our best to accommodate your request! Please be sure to register separately for each school pickup.

Yes. Everything your child needs to participate in the class is covered by the registration fee.

Mess is often part of the process and part of the fun of making art. Please send your child in comfortable clothes that can get messy. We will also have aprons for your child to wear to protect their clothes, but an apron is often no match for a child's creative gusto.

Each semester, we price our classes based on the number of times they meet, and the length of the class. So our classes for 2-5th graders are a little more, because they meet for 30 minutes longer than our other classes. We also don't charge you for any days we are not in session, so if a holiday or break falls on the day of the week your class meets, you'll see a lower price for both the class and the school pickup.

We fundamentally believe that people of all ages deserve access to high quality arts programming. If you or your child would like to attend one of our classes but cannot for financial reasons, please contact us at info@theartannexbrooklyn.com. We also offer a refer-a-friend credit! For every friend you refer to The Art Annex who registers for a class, we'll add a $20 credit to your account as a thank you. Just make sure your friend writes your name in the "how did you hear about us" section when they register. There is no limit to the number of friend credit you can earn, and credit with us does not expire.
